Paddy provides a broad range of strategic advisory and transactional services within the European student accommodation, residential and co-living sector. He has vast experience in transacting complex acquisitions, joint ventures, debt raising and strategic asset management of bed focused investments.
Paddy joined Cushman & Wakefield from GSA Group, the global student accommodation investor, developer and operator. Prior to GSA Group, Paddy co-founded a residential business in London and Australia, and the proptech app, Acasa, and prior to this worked for Internos Global Investors (now Principal Global) in European acquisitions and fund management.
Head of Investor Services
James is head of Cushman & Wakefield EMEA Investor Services division, coordinating the provision of services and solutions to the world’s largest occupiers, landlords and developers across the European platform. His background is as an expert in development and leasing, having worked in a number of markets and most recently been Chair of Cushman & Wakefield’s Office Agency division. James’ specialism is in the London market, where his client responsibilities include managing a number of key clients dealing with a cross-section of aspects relating to their London property holdings.
James is a member of the EMEA Board of Cushman & Wakefield and has worked with the company for over 29 years.
Marta Esteves Costa
Head of Business Development
Marta joined Cushman & Wakefield in Portugal in 2005 as Head of the Research & Consultancy team. In this role she was responsible for providing insights and consultancy on the property market for investors, occupiers and real estate developers and also for all Cushman & Wakefield research publications in the Portuguese property market.
In 2015 she was invited to set up the Cushman & Wakefield Research team in Spain, a role she performed until 2017.
Marta was appointed in 2019 as Head of Business Development of Cushman & Wakefield in Portugal, in charge of defining and implementing a commercial strategy that integrates the full set of service lines of the business, as well as coordinating multidisciplinary consultancy projects, managing the client care program and implementing a Business Intelligence tool.

James has been providing advice to international investors and developers across Europe for the past 18 years including some of the largest commercial transactions recorded. James has exceptional senior relationships with existing and new global capital sources.
Prior to James’ role in the EMEA Capital Markets team, he was Head of Capital Markets for Central Europe (Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia) for 13 years.
EMEA Retail Investment
James is a Partner based in the EMEA Retail Capital Markets team in London. He joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2007 spending six years in the Paris office, where he worked in the French Capital Markets retail investment team before transferring back to London. Over the last 4 years he has worked on over €2.3 billion worth of retail transactions.
Head of Futures Strategy

Richard is responsible for leading strategy formation and the implementation of strategic projects. As part of his responsibilities Richard has formed and leads Cushman & Wakefield’s Futures Programme, a response to the disruptive factors impacting on the use of and investment in real estate. He writes a weekly blog, ‘Futures /Cut’, which discusses issues such as technology, society, urbanism and economics, and has a regular readership in excess of 6,000. He co-heads Cushman & Wakefield’s EMEA Futures programme, focussing on innovation and Proptech for Cushman & Wakefield’s EMEA business, and he sits on Cushman & Wakefield’s European leadership team and UK ExCo.
A real estate thought leader, Richard was previously Head of UK Insight & Research at Cushman & Wakefield. His prior career focused on land use, development and regeneration strategy. He has advised on some of the UK’s most significant development projects. Originally trained as a lawyer, skilled in financial appraisal, and an MBA graduate, Richard has a diverse and lateral skill-set which he uses to pursue his passion of driving innovation and leading thinking about the changing world.

Head of Investment Strategy
David is the head of the European Investment Strategy team within our Capital Markets group.
His main area of responsibility is in managing investment and strategy research on behalf of the firm and our clients. He is editor to a number of the firm’s international capital markets publications and has a wide range of experience supporting investor decision making with economic, property market and risk and return analysis.
David focuses on helping our clients understand how strategy and tactics may be aligned to best effect in a society, environment and business world typified by change. He helps track capital movements and align capital sources with opportunities, working on strategy, capital raising, fund development and buyer selection.
Head of APAC Capital Flows
Argie Taylor is an International Partner in the Global Capital Markets team, focusing on APAC money flows to Europe.
Argie’s expertise covers full investment (acquisition and disposals) services as well as consultation on development and asset management across multiple sectors including offices, retail, logistics and hotels.
Prior to Cushman & Wakefield, Argie spent 10 years at Savills where he worked in teams including Strategic Investment Advisory and Cross Border Investment.
Head of Real Estate Strategy & Innovation
Elsbeth joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2017 and has strengthened our position as frontrunners in strategic consultancy, digital business development, market intelligence and sustainability. Elsbeth is a highly experienced strategic advisor and an absolute specialist in sustainability. With her team and a technology partner she has developed and launched Cwing Sustainability, a strategic sustainability analysis tool. She delivers sustainability strategies, action plans and its roll-out and provides (GRESB) reporting support for investor and occupier clients. Prior to Cushman & Wakefield, Elsbeth worked for 4 years as Managing Director ESG & Real Estate at GRESB. GRESB is an international organisation dedicated towards the assessment and benchmarking of environmental, social and governance performances of international real estate organisations. Her previous positions include that as associate director of the strategic advisory department at JLL, where she was responsible for the Green Desk and corporate consulting for occupiers.
